National Geographic GeoBee
Dolvin Elementary 4th and 5th graders will have the opportunity to participate in the first ever Dolvin Elementary School GeoBee! Read on to find out more!
Who can participate: Any interested 4th and 5th grade students
What do we do: Get a study packet from your homeroom teachers and begin studying your geography*
Preliminary Competition: Interested students will be given a written test on January 29th to determine the top ten Dolvin qualifiers who will participate in the Dolvin Elementary GeoBee.
School GeoBee: February 5th we will hold the Dolvin GeoBee at 8:00 am in the commons.
About the School GeoBee: The top ten school qualifiers (based on written test results) will participate in the GeoBee. The School-Level GeoBee is a combination of oral question rounds and written question rounds. The School Champion will be determined by this competition.
Next Steps: The School Champion takes a proctored online qualifying test in school on February 6th. The top-100-ranked students in each state will be invited to represent their school at the State GeoBee on March 27, 2020!
